It is anticipated that 90% of Beyond Differences revenues will be from donations and grants. The remainder will be raised from user fees and activity fees associated with the special events and programs. Grants will be solicited from federal, state and local governments, as well as trusts and foundations. Donations and sponsorships will be solicited from Upstate corporations, academic institutions and professionals. It is anticipated that the governments of Greenville County, the city of Greenville and the seven largest municipalities in the surrounding area will provide major support for BDI programs, either in cash or “in kind”. A particular effort will be made to establish funding sources that will provide grants, donations and sponsorships on a multi-year basis.
Stringent financial policies have been established to insure fiscal responsibility and controls within the organization, and to provide external oversight. These include, but are not limited to, cash control procedures, second signature requirement on checks above $5,000, an annual audit from an outside accounting firm, and approval of all budgets by the Advisory Council. A full list of these policies is attached.

The “Our Radio $280 Club” is for those individuals/corporations who donate $280 for one school year to the Greenville Youth Cross-Cultural Leadership Council (GYCCLC) for their weekly youth radio program, “Our Radio”. $280 is the cost of one weekly show and each individual/corporation who contributes will be adding to the continued success of the “Our Radio” Program Initiative.
Currently, there are 19 students participating in the initiative. Each 9;00 pm-10:30 the program airs and topics of discussion are related to local current events from a youth perspective, as well as Health, Peer Pressure, Race Relations, Interracial Relationships, Parent-Student Relationships and Religion.
Your support of “Our Radio” will give you or your business the opportunity for future growth in creating a relationship with youth of today and adult consumers tomorrow.
