Our Community Matters. Relationships among the people, friends, businesses, schools, and churches in our community directly affect the individuals that comprise the community. Beyond Differences has made it their mission to eliminate the negative effects that gradually destroy our communities and replace them with positive elements that bridge the gap of unity.

The 11 Key Elements that Destroy Community Potential
One of the most important elements in creating a fruitful dialogue is the location choice. When you are in a discussion, does the atmosphere help make the individual comfortably share his or her thoughts? We at Beyond Differences understand the value of creating the right atmosphere where our dialogues generate a sense of openness and honesty among the participants to freely express themselves. We selected the Chateau Elan for several reasons. It is a beautiful resort, with world-class amenities including seven restaurants within the location and meeting rooms designed to meet our needs. From Greenville, it’s only seventy-seven miles making the location convenient and accessible to the participants. The second most important element is the selection of the conference host and main facilitator. We have selected Professor Sharron Johnson, former anchorperson of WYFF 4 News and now, professor at Lander University. She has demonstrated throughout her career, as a reporter and a facilitator, how to bring out the essential core of truth from individuals by giving them the understanding of what is being said and what is important to the listener. With these two major items secured, I am confident that this historic gathering will be successful in achieving our goals to provide an inviting atmosphere full of constructive and beneficial dialogue.
Please join us at Chateau Elan for the Upstate Leadership Conference.
